Gunnersbury Crescent is a well preserved 1930s semi-detached house with many of its original features still intact. The project brief was a full house refurbishment new build rear extension and a large roof conversion.
Key to the design was respecting the period features and proportions of the existing building. The rear extension is designed to create a large family space for entertaining and living with a central fireplace as the focus. In a homage to the house's era, the garden is framed with 4No Crittall glass screens / openings to the garden.
The project is being constructed in 2 phases , the roof extension works are taking place first with the main house refurbishment happening in the very near future.
KSA is involved in the project from RIBA stages 0-5 (concept to construction).
